I wish I had grew up around horses but I didn't. I love watching horses and being in their presence. I painted this horse on watercolor paper. Next time I would like to paint me on a horse on canvas.

As the last light of day blazes across the sky, a lone horse stands at the edge of shadow and flame. Its dark form catches the golden fire of sunset, mane tousled by the wind, as though guarding the horizon. The warmth behind it suggests strength, freedom, and a spirit that belongs to the open wild. This painting speaks of endurance and grace - a moment suspended between light and darkness, wildness and stillness.
